Privacy Policy

BuyOrNah (“we”) is operated by FantasyByte. This policy explains what we collect when you use buyornah.app.

What we collect

• The content of requests you create: item name, price, optional link and your reason.
• Votes and optional comments you leave on requests.
• A random voter ID stored in a cookie, so each browser gets one vote per request.
• A random guest session cookie, valid for up to two years, linking this browser to your requests. We store its hash, an anonymous user ID and expiry on our server.
• Older request lists may remain in your browser's local storage for viewing legacy requests.
• Standard server logs (such as IP address and user agent) kept by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, for security.

We do not ask for your name, email or any account details.

Visibility

Friend requests are unlisted: anyone with the link can view and vote on them. Requests posted to the public feed are visible to everyone and may appear in search engines. Don't include personal information in your request.

Analytics and abuse prevention

We record aggregate product events, such as successful request creation, voting, share-button actions and result views, in our hosting logs. These events do not include request text, guest IDs or share links. When enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and page performance without analytics cookies.

To limit abuse, we store hashed IP-based rate-limit keys, counters and expiry times. These identifiers are pseudonymous and are used to limit excessive submissions. Our hosting provider may separately keep standard security logs.

Advertising

We may show ads (for example Google AdSense) and use privacy-friendly analytics. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

Removing content

To remove a request, email akang@fantasybyte.cn with its link.
